¡A cheery day! (presentation)

“Cheer and cheers” seems a name of a company of good Portuguese wine or an American moviment of basketball supporters. I don't exclude the idea of writing about wine or sports or even about support a team while drinking good wine, but since I pursue joy all the time I want to share and learn with your comments about joy at its peak.

Even when the future doesn't seems good, normally no one really wants to die or take the decision of die, because the hope of joy is the stronger feeling that lies in our hearts. Even in the more dramatic times of our lives, we feel jokes coming from our heart and, despite our conscience uses to say "no” to it, we can't avoid a smile or a laugh of relief. Furthermore, it's impossible to be submerged in the pain all the time, that's why they say the best jokes are said in funerals.

I decided to choose the word "cheer" instead of "joy", because "cheer" represents something stronger, like a wave in the more deserted beach.

"Cheer" means "encouragement", "approval", "congratulation", "animation", "triumph" or a form of shout used by spectators to encourage or show enthusiasm for an athletic team. In some regions of United Kingdom, the word "cheer" could also be used with the meaning of "thanks", "you're welcome", "no problem" or "bye". “Cheers” is synonymous of “Bottoms up” and means a toast accompanied by a clink of glasses or raising of same. "Cheers" could also be used with the meaning of "a blessing". Indeed, there's no telling how far this word can take you!

I'm a Portuguese journalist with some international experience and I love persue the true and justice, but here I want to persue the true of the human nature in particular. I really enjoy to confront people with their values and ways of thinking and demonstrate how some things we see as natural are only cultural ones. Give me big pleasure desconstruct my own ideas to leave my confort zone, learn more about me and the others and sometimes make fun of myself. In fact, It seems to me that make others question themselves is a kind of mission, since it makes me vibrate in a good way. Besides, sometimes friends of mine have great ideas for their lives when they are with me, even when my mouth is shut up, so I like to believe that God gave me an aura of questioning.

¡Let's try to grow up together!

¡Cheers!

Note: I decided to use exclamation point and question mark in the Spanish form, which means the reader knows at the beginning of the sentence that it's a exclamatory sentence or a question.
