The gurus of happiness don't speak

¿Show or hide love? ¿Show or hide suffering? ¿Extend your hand or hear the incoherent self -censorship? ¿Deliver your soul or look away? All these fervent doubts, which corrupt the pursuit of our daily lives, are insignificant to them, more advanced beings in the humanity's science, although they aren't part of it. I'm talking about dogs because I grew up with dogs around me, but I believe I could mention many other animals species.

Some people rush to make generalizations about animals and only this shows how we desperately need to learn from them. Animals can distinguish at a glance either a person is a "friend" or an "enemy", without any influence of third parties or past experiences.

But more than these intuitive distinctions, they are experts on the art of approaching, celebrating smiles and valuing and loving others' existence without asking anything in return. ¿Why we need words, if the more genuine communication emanates from the body? Experts say that 80 percent of human communication is non-verbal.

I could make a list of things that these masters already taught me. I could describe how the young Guga dragged part of it dead body by distemper, covered with a blanket of mosquitoes, just to greet me. I could describe amazing transformations, such as Lucky (I was the lucky one), which, after maybe seeing the worse of humanity, was able to get over itself and it approached us slowly, instead of, as many humans, answer in the same coin, being violent.

Lucky, which had one blue eye and could enter in unknown cars

Dogs can bark, howl and remain static for years in the same place where they saw a friend was buried, but they are quiet and lonely when it's about their own suffering and death. ¿How many dogs try to isolate themselves to die? ¿Can a lot of humans suffer in silence or move away to avoid the tears of family and friends?

Would a human be capable of walking dozens of miles to see the one who abandoned us again? We have such a hard time forgiving, giving a second chance or even fighting for someone because our ego believes that unhappiness and loneliness are better than humiliation.

There is no religion or theory on this. It’s all about unconditional love and it’s so simple. It comes down to realize that life only could be a real life if it is dedicated to serving others.
